New Skin?

All rightey, so since we've been with this skin for a while - all summer, to be exact - I thought it might be a good idea to start dabbling in some new skins, ne?

The question is, what should we do for a theme? Greys is a bit overdone, in a sense, so I'd say no to that, but I was thinking perhaps... warm colours? Or a different scheme of blues, to represent the Dark Ocean banner?

I'd like to hear some suggestions from our members 'fore I start going all graphics-y and making a new skin for the forum, though.

If we're going with the Dark Ocean theme, I'd recommend whites and blacks in an ocean-esque design. Hell, if the Dark Ocean is as important to the RP's plot as I think it is, an ocean theme would work no matter what colours we go with XD.

Another idea is a contrast between warm colours on one side of the skin, and darker colours on the other, since we seem to be using the whole 'light and dark' thing a whole lot X3.

Eh, black and white is kind of overdone and cliche on skins, so I'm probably going to say no to that.

However, if we were to contrast maybe like, dark slate navy blues and white/light yellow [kind of like the yellow tones in Kari's sig] then perhaps that would work, yeah. I could probably use the same background but perhaps colourize it a bit, or at least try to... or find another background. I'll figure something out for that, though. xD

EDIT: I also think that maybe a lighter scheme for the cbox [the text, at least] is probably in order, too... I've noticed that when I've got the brightness on my monitor cranked down [to save battery] it's hard for me to read the black text against the dark slate blue. I'd originally thought it was my needing new glasses, but since I just got my new ones it's clearly not. xD

How about a theme based on the Inter-web scenes of the digimon movie? that wouldn't be black and white lol.

Been awhile since i actually sat down and watched that movie though so I'm not sure if the colour schemes etc would work well or not.

The internet scenes wouldn't work because they don't fit with the theme of the plot. : / [plot]

I do finally have a theme planned out, though, or at least, the background for one. I'm going to see if I can't get it up sometime this weekend or something, but I do have Monday off, so if I manage to get my posting done in time then I'll get to work on the skin.

Banner suggestions, however, are VERY MUCH welcome. The skin is going to follow a light-vs-dark theme using golds/yellows and dark blues/blacks.
