There was a gentle breeze causing the nearby tree leaves to rustle. The rustling leaves were not loud but a definite source of noise. Other than that there was little noise to disrupt the calm and quite around Brook. He was staring at the blue sky and noticed the lazily moving clouds as well. Yet, this peacefulness wasn’t on his mind. Brook’s mind was trying to piece everything together, trying to understand the weird events that had transpired.
Before all of this had happened Brook was taking a walk around the park. His partner Leo was busy taking a nap and didn’t join Brook on his walk. This was perfectly fine and Brook packed his bag and went on his walk. It was the days of summer that always presented a problem; the two rarely had anything fun to do over the long break. This also meant that there was less distractions to keep him from ignoring his pessimistic thoughts. This was especially true for his walk; as soon as he started the thoughts began flooding his head. He tried to focus on the walk to ignore it but eventually the thoughts became to “loud” to ignore. After fifteen minutes he quit his walk and gloomily dragged himself back to his house.
Leo noticed his partner enter the room and watched as he sat on the chair next to his desk. The two talked about the limited amount of things to do for the next few months. Leo was annoyed that nothing worth fight had shown up and Brook was just bored of having nothing to do. Brook took out his digivice from his pocket and placed it next to his computer. He still had his bag on because he was too busy with talking to his digimon to take it off. The two continued to talk as Brook started up his computer, just then his digivice started to beep and its screen lit up. His computer screen showed a weird image instead of its normal start screen, it looked like a field or a park.
Leo also took notice and said that it reminded him of home for some reason, he joked that it could be an open digi-port. Leo wished it was thinking that it could at least make this boring day exciting. As they talked about Leo’s home Brook picked up his digivice and looked at it and his computer. He figured it wouldn’t hurt to see if it really was a portal and pointed his device at the screen. As the two screens were in view of the other, the digivice shined brightly again filling the whole room with light. Brook closed his eyes trying to not get blinded by the light show and next thing he knew he was laying on the ground outside.
“Hey how long are you going to be lying there? I don’t know what you did but it looks like we have arrived in the digital world.” Leo was on his stomach a bit away from Brook, yet the cat digimon was less confused than the human. Leo didn’t care about how or why they got here; all he cared about was the opportunity to fight other digimon to become stronger. He grinned as he sniffed around, he could tell that there were other digimon somewhere around. He got up and stretched a bit before walking over to his partner. “I suggest we get moving.”
Brook turned his head to look at his digimon, “Just where do you suggest going?” Brook sighed as he started getting up; he still had his digivice in his hand and his bag on him. As he rose to his feet he brushed of the dust on his pants before noticing his clothing. “What…why are my clothes different?” He looked at himself and noticed that he had never seen these before.
“What does it matter, one rule you should learn if you’re going to start visiting here.” He looked over his partner’s new wardrobe and grinned thinking it was cool. “That rule is never rely on ‘normal’ here, if anything you should just go with the flow.”
“Well if you say so…at least I have my bag with me.” Brook sighed as he looked at their surroundings; it didn’t seem too different from back home. There was a similar sky, a similar breeze, and similar vegetation; yet there was still a weird feeling that something was different. He noticed Leo staring off at a clearing in the trees; he started laughing as he walked toward the clearing. “What’s so funny Leo?”
“Nothing, just a nostalgic feeling that’s all. Come on there is a village up ahead, let’s start by checking that out. Then we will hunt for a worthy opponent.” Leo started running and Brook quickly tried to catch up with him. Brook ran and finally noticed what his partner was talking about; there was a bunch of blocks that were clustered together just a bit away from them. He didn’t know if that would be considered a village but he assumed that there was more than what he could currently see.
As he ran after his partner, a thought slowly started to get his attention. “A Worthy Opponent…” Brook took notice of what Leo had said earlier, he knew Leo wanted to fight but he never thought much about it. He figured there were other digimon since Leo wanted to fight and because he figured someone like himself couldn't have the only digimon. Yet he never thought about what the others looked like, at first he thought there were just millions of Leos out in the digital world. But as time passed he figured that would be just a bit be silly to think, he figured there must have been different creatures of different shapes and sizes. “Do you think you will be able to actually survive here…?” His pessimistic thoughts were starting to make themselves known again, but Brook knew that they had a point. He wasn’t even as strong as his partner Leo, who is trying to be stronger by fighting stronger opponents. Brook knew these opponents would surely be too dangerous for him to be able to do anything, but he figured as long as he was with Leo he would be okay.
Brook quickly ran after his partner who had stopped near an opening to the village, as Brook arrived near Leo the cat digimon scoffed at how slow he was. “You know how long I was waiting, honestly how can I be the best when you can’t keep up.”
Brook was a bit out of breath and looked at his prideful digimon, “Maybe you should wait for others or at least tell them what you are thinking.” Leo only grinned and pointed at the village, as if to say where else were they going to go. Brook was a bit annoyed but shrugged it off and sighed, “Well let’s see just what is here.” Leo nodded in agreement and the two walked into the village.

The Village of Beginnings, a place of wonder and amazement as it looks like, and pretty much is, a town built of toys and a child’s toybox. It was the place where Digimon were reborn after death, protected by the guardian of the town till they were strong and able enough to survive on their own. Eggs and pods of baby Digimon scattered the landscape, with the baby Digimon playing, laughing…..and crying. It was one of these crying Digimon that Elecmon was attending to at the moment. It was a simple little Popomon, a little flower-leaf looking thing. Apparently it had gotten part of it’s leaf caught on something and breaking it a bit. Elecmon was currently rocking the little crib, trying to get it to calm down. ”There, there little guy, it’ll be all right. No need to cry, it’ll grow back…”
This seemed to calm the baby Digimon down some, but not much, and Elecmon was starting to get frustrated when he heard the sound of voices coming from somewhere nearby. Someone was coming to the village! As it’s guardian he had to figure out what to do, but the Popomon was still crying. Shushing the Digimon, telling him needed to be good and quiet, Elecmon started to head towards the sound of the voices. He couldn’t make out what was being said, but he had to be safe and confront them, to protect the village. Jumping in front of them, he saw it was a human and a Leomon; a human and a partner most likely. Still, as the experiences with the Digimon Emperor showed, being a Digidestined didn’t mean that a human and partner could be good.
”HALT! Go no further. I am Elecmon, defender of the Village of Beginnings. Tell me what you are doing here human and partner!” Farther away, where the group of human, partner, and Elecmon couldn’t see, a Vilemon was appearing outside of the trees and into the Village. His mission was to spy on the defenses of the Village; after all, control of the location where Digimon were reborn was control of the Digital World itself. Looking around, he saw nothing; just bunches and bunches of Digi-Eggs and little pods with Digimon. In the distance he could hear the faint sound of crying, but nothing else really.
”Heh heh, completely vulnerable. Hmm, maybe I could sneak off with some of these eggs, raise them up good and useful for battle….” [/blockquote]

Leo started to walk into the village hoping to find something interesting in there. After catching his breath, Brook took a few seconds to actually look at the area they were near. He was largely confused about it all; he quickly checked the surrounding area to see anymore oddities. Yet all around him was seemingly normal trees and fields, only thing that stood out was this village. Now that he was closer to the village, he noticed it was basically made of what looked like children building blocks and items you would find in a toy box. Brook remembered what Leo had said earlier about the digital world, so he tried to ignore the village’s odd look.
As soon as Leo took a few steps into the village he could smell different digimon in the area. Yet there was also this feel of nostalgia as he looked around the village, but he just couldn’t place why he felt it. He also noticed that his partner wasn’t following and looking around. “Hey! Can we get going please, I want to fight something. Hopefully in the next few seconds!”
Brook quickly turned to his digimon and looked confused, “Are you saying there is something to fight in the childish looking village?” Leo scoffed at the question and continued onward for a bit before stopping immediately. Brook walked closer to Leo but stopped right behind him just as Leo froze in place. Leo started growling and scratching the ground as if he was preparing for something. This started to freak Brook out, “Leo what are you doing?”
“Quiet a digimon is coming here…this is finally it a fight. Come on here he is…” Leo saw the digimon who jumped in his way, he frowned a bit the moment he saw the digimon. Brook on the other hand was quite startled by the sudden appearance of the creature, so startled that he almost fell down. Yet he didn’t as he noticed the creature was about the same size as Leo, yet it was looking quite different. He sighed in relief but his pessimistic thoughts reminded him that size didn’t matter. Brook quickly remembered that even though he was bigger than Leo, that didn’t mean he was stronger. In fact many times since the first time they meet, Leo has proven time and time again that he was significantly stronger than his partner. This caused Brook to be more fearful of the creature, and shocked when it spoke. He almost forgot that digimon were able to speak, but he quickly was curious about what Elecmon said. “Man I can’t believe this, I was hoping something strong would appear but it’s just a weak rookie. Let’s go Brook and find something more interesting, maybe there something strong in the village.”
“Wait aren’t you a rookie too, so you two are the same level. And what is the Village of Beginnings?” Leo looked a bit angry at his partner, “Please I am so strong that I am on par with a champion level digimon, I can’t bother myself with these little weaklings…” Brook sighed as his partner flaunted his pride, knowing that what he was saying wasn’t 100% true. “…but anyway the Village of Beginnings is where baby digimon are normally born, as well as destroyed digimon being reborn here.” Brook took a second to think about this and responded, “So you were hoping to find a strong digimon in a place full of babies?” Leo stood still for a bit and looked back a Brook annoyed, “Well do you have any bright ideas where to go to find an opponent?” Brook shook his head, “Do you really have to find something to fight?” Leo huffed and spoke sternly to his scared partner, “I am going to become the strongest digimon ever, and in order to I must defeat every other digimon who dares say it is stronger than me. I will obtain this goal and to do so I must fight, because fighting…”
Brook sighed as Leo went on a rant; he looked at the rookie Elecmon and figured that it would be best if he explained why they are here. He coughed a bit and spoke a bit loudly and clear, “Um…sorry to bother you and your village Mr. Elecmon sir. You see me and my um…energetic partner there just kind of fell into this place and he decided to come here. We really don’t mean any trouble; Leo here is quite nice once you get to know him. He is just a bit um…enthusiastic about his dream there, but if you really want we will leave. Right, Leo?” Brook looked at his partner who was still ranting about being the strongest, this caused Brook to sigh. He really didn’t want to cause any trouble and get in a fight he would probably get hurt in.

Just a quick glance at the reactions of the two told Elecmon what exactly it was that he needed to know. The Digimon looked rather confident and eager to fight, and the human scared out of his wits. Chances were that this human was new to the Digital World, and that the Digimon was used to it or was just an overeager idiot. Either way, it was a highly familiar looking set up to him; didn’t that human Joe and his partner Gomamon, though admittedly this Digimon leaned more towards Agumon, but with more arrogance. Hmm, there was a pretty good chance that these were Chosen Child and partner, but it didn’t matter. As Ken and his Digimon Emperor persona showed, even Chosen Children could be evil.
However, he was soon insulted by the Digimon for being weaker, but Elecmon just listened as the two of them fought over this. Digimon was overconfident obviously, but sounded a lot like a bully in that he was expecting to fight in the Village of Beginnings. The fact that the human partner was rather off put by the idea was a good sign that maybe he wasn’t that bad anyway. Still, Elecmon had to respond to the insinuations that this Digimon was making. His idea was really off track; too bad Piximon was way to far out of the way for them to train with him and actually learn a thing or two about being strong.
Before he could start, however, the human started to explain the situation, completely ignoring the Digimon’s rant. Since it seemed smart enough to do so, Elecmon went with it. He calmed down a little, but still kept his guard up in case the two of them tried anything.
”Well, you better tell him to calm down then. Here in the Village the Digitamas and Baby Digimon are easily disturbed, and I have to make sure that nothing goes wrong here. If he can’t behave, you’ll have to leave. Otherwise, well, I’ll be glad to give you a tour. I’m a friend to the Chosen Children….if they behave themselves.” [/blockquote]

Brook smiled as Elecmon talked; it seemed that it wasn’t in a fighting mindset like his partner. Still he realized that Elecmon didn’t like the way Leo was acting; Jadow turned his head to see how his partner was doing. Of course Leo was still bragging and explaining his reasons for being strong, Brook shook his head at the sight of this. “I can’t believe he still acts like this, it is so embarrassing sometimes.” Brook started thinking of something to say in order for his partner to be less…prideful. As he was thinking Leo finally started ending his little rant, “…And that is why I must achieve this goal.” Leo proudly grinned and stared at his partner and then Elecmon. He was annoyed that Brook wasn’t paying attention to his speech. Leo felt bored as well as annoyed that nothing worth fighting was here, “Honestly I was hoping that by now I would’ve been fighting something.”
Brook was thinking what to exactly say, “Hmmm…well I could just say that…he would probably do anything if I…I…wait is it quiet?” Brook took a look at his surroundings to see that his partner was done speaking and now looking at Elecmon. “Oh! Are you done with your speech Leo?” “Yep…it seems you weren’t listing.” “To be fair I have heard over fifty times…” Leo glared at Brook as he said that, “…but guess what Elecmon here said he could give us a tour of the village.” “So why would we want to do something that boring?” “Oh come on Leo, it could be interesting I mean I haven’t seen what a baby digimon looks like. After all the only idea I have on what digimon look like is you and Elecmon.” Leo looked at him with a “why should I care” look.
Brook sighed and decided to go with his plan, “Well I was just thinking that because you are…nah never mind.” Leo was curious about what his partner was about to say, “I am a what…finish!” Brook grinned a bit as he spoke, “Well I was just thinking that since you’re an incredibly strong digimon you would care about the weaker digimon here and want to stay longer.” Leo was getting confused why Brook thought this and gave a puzzling look. “What it is well known that the strong protect the weak, so I thought you would want to stay and check the place just in case something did come and attack. You know since…um…you said Elecmon is weak.”
Leo’s eyes widened as he heard this, he started to think about it. “Hmmm…protecting the weak, it would be a good distraction and a good way to find an opponent. Not only that but it would make me well known.” Leo glanced at Brook, “You’re right Brook, and I can’t believe I didn’t see this before, a digimon as strong as me should help out those…” He turned to face Elecmon and then quickly looked back at Brook “…who aren’t as strong as me. Alright let’s go for a tour.” Brook smiled as Leo agreed to the tour, “Alright Elecmon, Leo will behave and be less chaotic…hopefully…, so can we take that tour please.” Leo scoffed and whispered to himself, “If anything he should be begging us to protect this place.”

Elecmon just shrugged (which for him was basically his body shrugging) and relaxed a little as Brook showed embarrassment over his partner’s behavior. Eventually the Digimon quieted up, expressing annoyance at not having the chance to fight something. Elecmon just rolled his eyes. Apparently this was a Digimon that got to avoid the hardships of these last few years of the Digital World. There was a lot more to being a Digimon than fighting. However, it was the partner’s job to teach it, not his. So Elecmon just staid quiet and watched as the two argued amongst themselves. That, and it was pretty funny to do so; he had so little entertainment around here.
Eventually the human covered up an excuse for his Digimon to want to explore the village. At least he had given a good excuse for it, and Elecmon figured it would be a good idea to back up the human.
”Yeah, of course, that is what being a partner and Digimon is all about! Protecting the Digital World from the forces of evil! And you never know what forces will want to come to this village.” Elecmon said, glancing up at the human to let him know he was trying help him out on this.
Soon the agreement was made, and Elecmon nodded for them to go follow him as he started the tour out. Marching towards the village, he started to sound very professory in his voice as he started to talk up.
”Generally speaking, the Village of Beginnings is where all Digimon are born and reborn. Digimon who are killed off eventually have their data returned here to be reborn as a new Digimon. Some keep there memories, some don’t; it varies, although partner Digimon seem more likely to keep their memories.”
---------
As the tour began, Vilemon was busy grabbing some of the eggs that were left unguarded. The baby Digimon around him were asleep, so he quietly moved around to keep them so. If they woke up, he’d be caught by the guardian of the place and, well, that would just be annoying. Grabbing two Digi-eggs, he silently began to move when all of a sudden, one of them awoke! Freezing in place, Vilemon just watched as the Digimon slowly woke up, yawned, and looked at him. Vilemon kept trying to sush it, but the next thing he knew, it was wailing, hard enough everyone around there could hear him.
--------
Back at the tour, Elecmon paused when he heard the Digimon babies starting to cry. Something was wrong, and the look of concern on his face showed it.
”Come on, hurry, we got to see what is causing that ruckus.”
Before even getting a response, Elecmon raced towards the site where the babies were being held. Arriving, he soon found the Vilemon futilely trying to sush the Digimon babies. With Elecmon’s arrival, however, his attention was forced onto Elecmon, and an epic staredown ensued…. [/blockquote]

Brook sighed in relief that Leo was going to stay in the village for now; he also appreciated Elecmon’s help trying to convince his partner. The two then followed their tour guide as he started to begin the tour, Brook took this chance to look around more at the village. He was still baffled by the odd building materials, yet he figured this wasn’t the only place that was this unique. He remembered what Leo said about the digital world when he was asking about his new wardrobe; this world didn’t exactly work like how his home world did. Brook knew that this was going to take a while to get used to but he was at least relieved that their first visit to Leo’s world was a safe one. Leo on the other hand wasn’t paying attention to Elecmon but to the surrounding sounds in order to hear if an enemy was nearby.
Brook listened to what Elecmon was saying and started thinking of what he said. “A place where digimon are reborn…” A part of him was extremely happy to hear this; he glanced over to Leo and smiled. He was happy that if ever something happened to his partner, he could be revived right here. Yet his pessimistic thoughts emphasized the last part of what Elecmon said, “If we fail to keep him safe he could forget us completely.” Brook shook his head trying to ignore these thoughts, “No…he said that partner digimon are” “Likely to remember, that means there is a chance that he could forget and knowing your fate he will…”
The sound of crying caught Brook’s attention and he was able to ignore the rest of pessimistic thoughts. Brook and Leo both noticed the look of concern on Elecmon’s face right before he started running towards the sound of crying. They both stood there for a second before Leo started running too, “Come on let’s go, you were right an enemy decided to come here. Man I should listen to your advice more often.” Brook was completely shocked, he didn’t expect something to actually attack here and now his safe trip was starting to become dangerous. Still he ran after the two digimon hoping nothing bad would happen.
Leo arrived at the scene a bit after Elecmon had and looked at everything that was happening. The crying of course came from the baby digimon in the area but that wasn’t what Leo was interested in. Brook finally caught up to the two digimon and was catching his breath, he saw that the crying came from small (what he guessed were baby) digimon. Brook then looked at what everyone’s attention was centered on, which was an evil-looking digimon that was holding a few eggs. This completely shocked Brook as he never would’ve guessed digimon could’ve looked like that, he figured they were all dog/cat looking like Elecmon and Leo. “What is that digimon!” “It’s my first battle, FINALLY!” Brook turned his head to see his partner clawing the ground to get ready for the fight. Leo then pointed at the digimon and grinned at him, “Aren’t you lucky little guy, you get to be my first fight after finding my partner.” Leo coughed and glowered at the digimon, “So…for taking these defenseless digi-eggs and disturbing these innocent baby digimon, I Leormon shall defeat you in battle as punishment for these misdeeds.” Brook shook his head as Leo spoke, a part of him was worried that the digimon could be tougher than his partner and Elecmon.

As Elecmon walked, he notice the behavior of the two tourist. The human actually looked as if he was trying to learn, while the Digimon looked more interested in seeing if there was a thing to fight. Sighing, he just kept up his tour. At least the human boy was paying attention. But he couldn’t blame the Digimon for doing what he was doing; after all, he probably knew this stuff, and more importantly, he was told to guard the place. At least he could follow that direction. For the moment, all the focus was on the tour until the cries of baby Digimon bellowed out, bringing them all running. Elecmon was rather mad that Leormon was right, mostly cause that meant someone had in fact invaded the village.
Soon they arrived on the scene as Elecmon and Vilemon soon stared each other down. The baby Digimon had finally decided to start calming down, but Elecmon was afraid they could get hurt in the ensuing fight between him and the Vilemon. Looking over, he noticed that the human and Digimon had caught up. They could help out, that was for sure. Before he could say anything, however, he heard the Leormon yelling out about fighting. Elecmon glared over at him.
”That Digimon is a Vilemon, a Champion level. I’d rather you try and help out by getting the Baby Digimon out of here, or at least have your human partner do so. Getting them somewhere safe is the first priority, got it.”
Over on the other side of the field, Vilemon just watched the proceedings up until the moment the Leormon started to show off and be all heroic. Elecmon had taken care of the introductions, so that meant it was his time to do the evil banter part of the fight. After all, had to keep up the cliché story roles, no? Well, it would at least make the fight more interesting for him.
”Ha ha ha, are you serious? Take the Elecmon’s advice and just split kitty-cat. But you seem like a stubborn type so I guess I might just have to force you.” [/b][/color] With that the Vilemon flew up into the air, getting out of the range of any physical attacks the cat may had. He might be boastful, but he still wasn’t going to let the Digimon get close enough to scratch. It’d still hurt. He’d be sore from the scratches for days. But more importantly, from up here he could snipe them with Nightmare Shock attack or Demon Darts, and all he would have to really worry about was the Elecmon’s attacks. Didn’t they shoot electricity or something? Speak of the devil…. Back on the ground, the Elecmon could see what the enemy was up to. It was trying to get out of range and attack. Well, he would be in for a big shock, and that was a completely intentional pun. Crouching down and taking aim, Elecmon charged up electricity in his tail. ”Super Thunder Strike!””Nightmare Shocker!”The two blasts of energy soon collided, bringing up a massive billow of dust….[/size][/blockquote]

Brook listened to what Elecmon was telling them, he was shocked that the other creature was a digimon and not only that but a champion. He vaguely recalled Leo telling him about the different levels of digimon, he remembered that Leo said there were baby, training, rookie, champion, and mega levels. Brook had a feeling he was missing some but his attention was back to Elecmon who was talking about getting the baby digimon to safety. He understood what Elecmon wanted, “Don’t worry Elecmon we will” “Are you kidding me I am not leaving this fight!” Brook stopped speaking after being interrupted by his partner and sighed at his reply. “Don’t worry Elecmon I’ll get the baby digimon somewhere safe.” Brook ran towards the baby digimon in order to help evacuate them from the area.
Leo took notice of his partner’s actions but only for a few seconds, after that he turned all of his attention to his opponent. He had no care for assisting the baby digimon if it meant that he had to delay or even quit his fight. Vilemon started to give his insight on the situation and this started to annoy Leo just a tad. He didn’t like how Vilemon was bragging about his strength and putting him down. His own pride wasn’t going to allow this so he started to growl and prepare to attack the opponent in front of him.
“Come on everyone we have to get out of here, Elecmon shouldn’t have to worry about you guys in this fight.” Brook was trying to get the nearby baby digimon to leave but didn’t really know how best to do it. Everyone he knew had at least said once, that he was bad with handling or even calming children. So he was a bit nervous on how to get the digimon to a safe place. He sighed at everything that was happening, he didn’t want something like this to happen but here he was in this situation. Lots of things were on his mind but the two most important were dealing with these baby digimon and worrying about Leo in the fight.
Leo was shocked to see the Vilemon fly into the sky; he didn’t expect the digimon to fly. He thought he would be able to fight it face to face; it was as Leo thought of this he realized something. “Shoot! I can't hit him if he is flying like that, that flying jerk!” Leo was beginning to become furious when he noticed Elecmon do something, yet at the same time Vilemon seemed to be preparing an attack. Leo watched as the two launched their attacks and said attacks collide with one another, he braced himself for what was to come next the large puff of dust that seemed fill the area. Leo was coughing because of the airborne dust and was trying to locate the other two digimon as well.
As Brook was trying to herd the baby digimon away from the battle, he heard Elecmon and Vilemon both shout something before everything was covered in dust. Brook covered his mouth from the dust as he tried to see what was going on to cause this sudden swell of dust in the air. He was starting to worry about Elecmon and Leo, but couldn’t see anything thru the dust.

With the human off running to go save the Baby Digimon, Elecmon was free to deal with the Vilemon. Apparently, however, the human’s partner Digimon decided to stay and ‘help’. Well, as long as he didn’t get in his way, Elecmon was fine with it all. All he had to do right now was work on keeping the Vilemon distracted long enough to get the human the time he needed. Of course, Vilemon flying around was going to make the whole situation a bit harder to do, and from the looks of it the little cub was getting annoyed by it…
Meanwhile, the Baby Digimon who were napping as the fight started woke startled, and obviously upset they started to cry. The ones that had been awake were scared, but were at least not crying. They were the first to notice the human walking up, telling them Elecmon had sent him to help them out. Of course, they were suspicious; they obviously hadn’t dealt with a human before. But if Elecmon had sent them, they could cooperate….as soon as they got the ones crying to calm down and listen.
As the battle commenced, things got off with a bang. Elecmon and Vilemon’s attacks hit at the same time, causing a massive wave of dust from the shock of it. As the dust began to settle, it was obvious that nothing had really happened between the two of them. They were both standing, unphased as they eyed each other for the next move. Elecmon looked over at Leormon, expecting him to do something.
”Hey, are you going to just stand there or are you going to do something? If you aren’t going to fight, go help your partner with the Baby Digimon.”
”Hwah ha ha ha ha. Seriously, the little kitty cat is going to beat me? It can’t even reach me from all the way up here.” [/b] With the Vilemon gloating, Elecmon had a bit of a smirk on his face. A quick flick of his tail, one that looked like a natural movement, and it was done. His Thunder Knife attack would do the trick; three little bolts of lightning would knock that Vilemon down to the ground and give Leormon the chance to strike. And the Vilemon seemed absolutely clueless, which soon proved true as the attacks hit, sending a massive shock through him (enough to comically see his skeleton) before he fell to the ground. ”Well Leormon, here’s your chance to play the big hero.” Elecmon smirked as Vilemon started to get up. ”Might want to hurry before he stands up all the way.”[/size][/blockquote]

Brook stared at the dust cloud wondering if Leo and Elecmon were all right but the sound of the baby digimon caught his attention. He turned to face the multiple digimon in front of him; there were those who were looking at him and those who were crying loudly. This caused Brook to worry a bit, he knew he should try to calm the crying ones first and then get all of them to safety. Yet, he didn’t really know how exactly to calm the crying ones. He really didn’t have any good experience dealing with children; after all he was anti-social for a large part of his life and really didn’t interact with children, babies, or anyone. Still he knew he had to do something since he went to assist getting the baby digimon to safety, although even if Leo was with him he probably wouldn’t be much help anyway.
He took a deep breath and calmly walked over to a group of crying digimon. At that time the dust settled revealing that no real damage had taken place and soon Elecmon and Vilemon were speaking. Brook heard Elecmon’s voice which gave him a little courage and relief that everyone was okay. He bent over to try and get to eye level with the digimon and he spoke calmly and clearly, doing his best to try and soothe the babies. “Alright let all calm down and take a deep breath, now Elecmon will worry if you guess all cry so let’s brave up and dry those tears. We have to get to a safer place so Elecmon doesn’t worry…k?”
Leo shook off the dust that had collected on his fur after the blast, “Wow look how effective that was…” He looked up at the Vilemon who was unharmed by the attack and growled at the fact that he was too high up for him to do anything. “If only I could reach him, then I could…” Yet his train of thought was halted when he heard Elecmon criticize his usefulness in the battle; he was about to yell back at him when Vilemon gave his insight about it as well and even remarking how Leo couldn’t reach him. This made Leo furious and his fur even started crackling from the static there was, but before he could respond Elecmon took advantage of the opponent’s unfocused attitude and attacked.
The electrified Vilemon caught Leo’s attention and even made him chuckle, yet he was cut short by Elecmon’s response. Leo quickly understood the situation and ran towards the enemy, he was thinking of what exactly to do. As the digimon was getting up, he noticed the Vilemon’s wings and then he got his target. “If I can stop him from flying then I don’t need Elec’s help and finish him all by myself.” He picked up his pace and started moving a bit in order to get a clear shot at Vilemon’s wings. As soon as he was close enough he pounced towards Vilemon and aimed at his wings to swipe at them. “Lio Claw!”

As Brook attempted to calm down the baby Digimon, it seemed that it was starting to work. The ones that weren’t crying worked to try and keep the others calm as well, and eventually they all were calm. About the only thing left was some sniffling, but they just sat there patiently awaiting for Brook’s instructions on what to do. After all, they were just babies; they didn’t know what they were supposed to do in an emergency like this. Elecmon was the one to order them around…
Meanwhile, over at the battle, Elecmon had worked to set up the fight for Leormon to actually do something. Taking a shot at Vilemon while he was distracted, he had brought the flying monster down to the ground. Hopefully the other Digimon would realize what was going and attack. This battle was starting to drag on, not in hardness but in time. He was glad to see however the lion-cub apparently did know a thing or two about a fight as it rushed to attack the Vilemon with a claw swipe. Seeing as he probably needed to get a bit more of a boost in the attack, Elecmon began to charge towards the Vilemon himself. Hopefully, if he timed it right, this would finish the battle off.
Vilemon, in the meantime, was busy stabilizing himself after being shot out of the sky with the electric attack. Still jittery with electricity, he didn’t notice the lion Digimon running at him till the claw was right in his face. Grabbing it, he began to stumble backwards as his face stung in pain. He had at least protected his wings, which seemed to have been the intended target. Suddenly, he heard the crackle of electricity as Elecmon slammed into him…..
”Body Attack!” Elecmon yelled as he smacked Vilemon with an electrically charged bodyslam. As he made contact, he could feel the Vilemon’s data disappearing, breaking up into little bitty pieces. Landing back on the ground, he spotted the data reforming itself into a small egg. Another baby to take care of in the near future. Great.
”Well, I think that takes care of that. Go get your partner and let him know the coast is clear…” [/blockquote]

Leo was ecstatic to be able to get in an actual fight and he couldn’t wait to feel his claw strike his enemy. Leo was able to hit the enemy but he didn’t expect Vilemon to grab his paw, this caught him off guard and he was confused what to do next. He tried to get free but the digimon’s grip was too strong. “Why didn’t it work, I should’ve hit his wings but instead I hit his face and got caught. No, come on Leo think; I am strong enough to beat a creature like him. I have to think of a way to turn this situation around.”
Leo was having a hard time trying to deal with the fact that he was in trouble. “Wait could I possibly b…” Just then the sound of crackling electricity caught his attention and he saw Elecmon hit Vilemon. The digimon let Leo go and was soon filled with an electrical current. Vilemon was soon disappearing into data, Leo was watching as his prey was vanishing. He felt relieved that the digimon was no longer grabbing him but then he started getting furious. He felt he would’ve come up with a plan and delete the enemy without Elecmon’s help. “Grr…how dare he…take my kill…grrr…”
He was filled with rage, he had waited so long for a fight and when he finally found one Elecmon stole his victory. He grumbled to himself, angry at the fact that he allowed Elecmon to obtain a victory. Elecmon’s order enraged Leo even more, “How dare he act all high and mighty towards me.” Leo was obviously taking Elecmon’s simple comment and twisting it. Yet Leo calmed himself down, “Come on Leo let the little guy have this one, if I am to become the most powerful digimon in the world, I will need to learn to let the little ones have their shot at glory. After all it’s not like he could defeat me.” This made the feline digimon grin, “Fine I’ll get Brook.”
Brook was having a hard time trying to calm the baby digimon but eventually they were starting to calm down. He sighed in relief, he expected it to be harder a lot harder in fact. Now he had the problem of them just standing around, he expected them to know where to go. “Doesn’t Elecmon tell them what to do in these situations, wait…they are babies perhaps that’s expecting too much.” He was standing thinking for a few seconds and then decided to take a plan of action. He looked around for a bit and decided to at least get them away from the fight. “Alright everyone we are going to move away from this area and head over there.” He pointed to a spot not that far from where they were but far enough so that any attacks or dust won’t reach them.
Leo was running towards the spot where he saw everyone and noticed that Brook was doing something. He reached them and snuck up on Brook, “WHAT ARE YA DOING?” Brook jumped a bit when he heard the loud voice; he almost fell over but caught himself in time. He turned to see his partner laughing at the scene, “LEO! What do you think you are doing; don’t scare m…the baby digimon like that.” “HAHAHAHA!! Yeah sure, anyway Elecmon says to tell you the coast is clear. So no more taking care of these little guys.”

"Awwwwwwwwwww!" There was a mass chorus as the babies heard what Leo had said. Despite the frightening experience, most of them had enjoyed Brook's attention and attempts at keeping order. It was funny and amusing, and far from the talents of Elecmon at keeping the children in order. The children changed direction and swarmed around Brook, crawling and bouncing all over him.
Elecmon walked back over to the group carrying the eggs of the former aggressors and setting them into cradles of their own. He looked over at the babies swarming Brook and decided to let them have fun before saving the human from the youthful babies. He took a minute to check on all of the eggs- keeping a wary eye on Leo, who he didn't trust around the baby digimon without proper supervision- before heading back over and getting the baby digimon off of Brook.
"Come on now, come on, get off" he said sternly, almost fatherly. He lifted some of them off of Brook manually. "Thanks for the help, I needed a little break" he said to Brook. To Leo he said "Thanks for.....hmmm....nevermind." he finished the sentence with a shrug and took a headcount of the babies to make sure none had wandered off again.

Brook was quite shocked at the actions of the baby digimon; this wasn’t a normal occurrence for him. True this was his first time meeting digimon other than his partner, but he never had people this friendly or close to him. He really didn’t know what to do and was looking slightly worried. Of course Leo only laughed at his partner’s situation, but a part of him was jealous. He had saved them from the digimon that tried to attack them, so why weren’t they being so nice to him.
Elecmon’s arrival and assistance with the baby digimon made Brook sigh. “No problem although I don’t think I was much help.” He didn’t even know why they were so excited and happy towards him, but he had to admit it was nice and he was reminded of his friendship with Joseph. Leo was quite furious of Elecmon’s comment and the fact that he ignored him completely. “Why that arrogant little…so proud even though I let him finish of that digimon.”
Brook noticed his partner’s anger and tried to cool him by trying to distract him with something. “Oh! Elecmon can we still finish the to” “NO! We are leaving this instance!” Brook was quite shocked about Leo’s demand, “Leave but” “Nope I think we should head out and find something else to fight. Just staying here is boring, not to mention that someone is acting all high and mighty.” Brook was a tad worried about this; he didn’t think it was a great idea for them to leave. “Maybe we should stay here bef” But before he could finish his sentence Leo was already starting to leave the village. Brook sighed and turned to face Elecmon and the baby digimon, “Sorry we have to leave so suddenly. It was nice to meet you all, hopefully next time we can finish that tour.” Brook waved and then started heading out with his feline partner.
They were walking for a while before Brook spoke up, “So…we are just going to wander around huh?” Leo ignored the comment and continued going forward, “Anyway not that it matters, well maybe a bit, but how are we getting back home?” Leo abruptly stopped, he hadn’t thought of that. He was fine staying in the digital world, but there were some things that did interest him back in the real world. “I have no idea.” This time Brook stopped, he was worried that he wouldn’t get back home. He could image his parents freaking out about him missing and Joseph worrying to, of course his pessimistic thoughts tried to persuade him to think that they wouldn’t care. “This isn’t good. What are we going to do Leo?” “Well maybe if we just continue going this way we will find a solution.” Leo started walking again and Brook followed, “How is that going to…ouf!” Something had caught Brook’s foot and caused him to trip; Leo chuckled and helped his partner up. They looked at what the object was; it was a television that was buried in the ground. “A Tv.” “What is that doing there?” As the inspected it, Brook’s digivice started reacting and soon the two were surrounded by a bright light.
A loud crash was heard as the light started to dissipate, Leo and Brook were lying on the floor with the chair closest to the computer. “Ow.” They looked around them, it looks like they found a way back to the real world. “Well now we have something to do over summer break.” Brook weakly smiled, “Yeah…”
