Appearance: Lean but not scrawny, Davis is between five and six feet tall. His dark brown eyes match his spiky and unruly hair, which is kept from obscuring his vision by a pair of goggles given to him by Tai some years ago. He typically wears a denim jacket with a white shirt underneath. The jacket is wool lined on the inside, and the outside has a fire pattern. He wears yellow gloves and khaki shorts. For footwear he wears orange and white boots that are good in most any terrain.
Personality: In one word, Davis is stubborn. In more words, he's also very loyal to his friends, prone to angry outbursts, and about as brave as a teenager can be. He doesn't respond well to being spoken down too in any situation, and while he doesn't mind being corrected, if someone does it in front of an attractive girl- Kari especially- he will make an ass of himself to defend himself no matter how wrong he is. Although he often rushes into things and makes mistakes, his courage in the face of outstanding odds cannot be denied. No matter how dire the situation, he always believes that they can somehow make it through. There is certainly no one more suited to the Digi-Egg of Courage than Davis.
Early on, he claims not to know what friendship is but his later actions prove that he is truly the one worthy of the Digi-Egg of Friendship. He befriends Ken and gets along very well with all of the Digidestined. In fact, Davis is able to get along with pretty much anybody- he is easy going and sort of laid back and just an all around friendly guy.
If a problem arises, he is not the type to sit on it and let it stew- he will confront the situation directly, even if his issue is with one of his friends. This is guaranteed to cause static for a short amount of time, but once everything blows over or cools down, both sides are glad the problem was resolved directly.
Davis is always getting into trouble about his intense jealousy toward anyone he sees as a rival for Kari's affections, not the least of whom is T.K., even calling him by the wrong name.
History:
As a child, Davis played soccer for his school. He was skilled at all positions but his aggressive style often had him on the offense, stealing the ball from his opponent and scoring goal after goal. Academically he was a bit of a slacker, but when he needed help studying he almost always had a friend or two willing to pull an all-nighter.
On his first trip to the digital world he is given his digivice- really, it flew into his hand, not so much 'given' as 'acquired'- and follows TK, Kari, and Tai through the digiworld- curious as to why they're so unphased by appearing there. When the group finds the Digi Egg of Courage, Davis is the only one capable of lifting it. Veemon emerges from under the egg and, when the group was attacked by Monocrhromon, Veemon armor-digivolved into Flamedramon, the Fire of Courage and kicked his ass.
Davis took over as the unofficial leader of the Digidestined after his mentor, Tai, to whom he has a slight resemblance, which T.K. notes once Davis inherits Tai's goggles. A little later, Davis was playing in a soccer match against the famous Ken and injured his ankle in a tackle. In retaliation, Ken had Davis degrade himself, threatening to feed the DigiDestined to Deltamon. However, the real DigiDestined appeared, revealing the deception. Ken vows to take over the world, but Davis tackles him in a scuffle. During the fight, Davis recognizes a familiar cut just like the one on the Emperor's leg. Defeated, Ken reveals that he is the Digimon Emperor and flies off.
During the final battle with Kimeramon, Davis attempted to locate the engine room and was led there by Wormmon, who was equally determined to save Ken from himself. Davis discovered that the base's power source was the Golden Digi-Egg of Miracles, which he used to Golden Armor Digivolve Veemon to Magnamon. When Davis unlocks the egg, Veemon notices that a crest is inside of it, which is later revealed to be Ken's Crest of Kindness. Although Magnamon is powerful, it is only when Wormmon sacrifices himself that he has the energy to defeat Kimeramon. Davis and the others finally make Ken realize that Digimon were real, living things, not just computer data.
Davis was the first of the Digidestined to have his partner Digivolve naturally and befriend Ken. Through hard work, he was able to convince the others to forgive Ken, although Cody took a while and almost put the team in danger from BlackWarGreymon because of it. On Christmas Day (it is during this time that Davis offers to play strip poker at Ken's party), Davis goes to New York City to help Mimi, Michael and the other American DigiDestined to battle a Cherrymon in the Rockefeller Center.
Davis's moment to shine was in the final battle with MaloMyotismon. Davis was the only one willing to fight, and fueled by Davis' courage and determination, ExVeemon attacked MaloMyotismon, causing some damage. While the other children were caught in their dreamworlds, unable to let go of their desires, Davis seemed to have remained untouched. Instead he went to each of his friends and helped bring them back to reality. Inspired by Davis' ability to tap into the dimension's power, they were reinvigorated and motivated to try once more. When MaloMyotismon was curious to know how Davis cornered his illusion, the boy revealed he didn't as he has only one desire at the moment: to destroy MaloMyotismon. Davis even cut off MaloMyotismon's power source when he told the Dark Spore kids about his dream to open a noodle cart.
With MaloMyotismon destroyed and both the real and digital world safe once more, things began to chill down. Davis became slightly more involved in his classes, but still focused mainly on soccer and having fun with his friends. He made frequent trips to the digital world to spend time with his digimon friends and to help monitor and make sure things were staying on the up-and-up.

Davis swatted the space beside his ear to shoo the bee away. "Stupid bugs" he murmured.
"What was that?" The voice beside him asked. Davis turned to face her, his scowl turning into a smile. Bathed in sunlight, the world seemed to glow as he looked at Kari.
"Just bee," Davis said, "Its gone now."
Kari's smile turned into a concerned frown. "It didn't sting you did it?"
"What? No, of course not," Davis said, flashing an even bigger smile, "It was just buzzing around my ear and I couldn't hear you talking so I shooed it away."
Kari smiled again, "You're such a wonderful man Davis. A dumb brute like TK would have squished the bee, but a gentle soul like you just shooed it, letting it return home to its wife and baby bees."
"Hehe, yeah," Davis said, leaning into Kari a bit as the two sat on a checkered blanket atop a hill overlooking a park.
Buzz...buzz..buzz
Davis shooed away the bee again as Kari said "Sometimes I wish you weren't so brave," she looked right at him and smiled, "If that bee stung your perfect face you could swell up."
"I'm not afraid of any bee," Davis said, "And I'd shoo away a thousand bees for you."
"Oh Davis," Kari said, leaning closer.
"Oh Kari," Davis said, leaning in.
"Davis"
"Kari"

"Kari.."
Buzz...buzz...buzz
"Ahh!" Davis yelled when his eyes opened- his arms were embracing his pillow, which he was tongue kissing at the time of waking up. "Ahhhh, yuck," he spat a couple of times. He reached over and slapped the button his alarm clock as it continued to buzz. "Stupid alarm clock waking me up just before the best part" he muttered. He looked down at the small bed beside his own where demiveemon was still sleeping. Checking the time, Davis figured he could snooze for another half hour before he needed to get to school, and laid back down.
