:: Akika Ichihara ::
Face Claim: Ushio - Clannad
Nicknames: Aki-chan
Age: 4 years old
Gender: Female
Digivice: Her digivice is chocolate brown with pink on the outside, much alike the digimon she is partners with.
Location: Japan
Appearance:
Standing at 3'3 and weighting 15kg, Akika is at the average height and weight of the four year old she is. Her eyes are goldish brown and usually holds most of her emotions. Her hair is short and straight brown, and can be either down or put up with her white ribbon. Her skin is pale, but not too pale to seem as if she is sick. When she does get sick, her cheeks becomes red and her eyes become half-closed, so it is easy to tell.
Akika usually wears dresses and skirts. She doesn't seem to hold much interest in pants. Once got a hat for a present from her older sister, also started having a thing for hats, and often has one on. A blank stare is what is usually seen with her when one doesn't know her well, but once people know her and she trusts them, she is often smiling.
Personality:
Quiet, shy, and easily frightened. These three probably best describe Akika's personality traits. She is extremely timid about letting her true self be seen by people other than herself. She curls up in her own imaginary shell in attempts to protect herself from any fears she has, and is often seen with a blank expression on her face. It is not an easy task to open her up to others either. Once one decides that they want to get to know her and tries to get information about her from her, Akika just curls up tighter into her imaginary protective ball.
She seeks people who are patient, loving, and understanding. Because of this, she is seen mostly opening up easier to females rather than males. At first she is mostly mute, only saying very limited words in order to answer questions and such. Once she starts warming up and trusting the one she is speaking to however, she starts to talk a lot more and become a normal, innocent child. At the same time, she becomes EXTREMELY clingie.
She will follow, copy, and hold onto those who she opens up to. This is because she is scared of the ones she loves leaving her. To stay with those that she loves, she will listen to anyone, even the evils. This possibly cannot be the best thing since a bad man can tell her nonsense about her family leaving her if she does not do what they tell her to do. Because of this, it is important to keep her under watch at most times. She is easily manipulated.
Talking in third person is one of the charm points of little Aki. She talks like most children her age by presenting herself by her very own name, rather than using "I" or "Me". "Mine" turns into "Aki's" as well. This little four year old also has difficulty speaking perfectly, and has troubles pronouncing her "L's" and "R's" at times, and instead replaces them with W's, unless its a part of someone's name.
Akika is also an extreme cry baby. She will cry when she's hurt, scared, angry, confused, and when she's even just jealous. Some might see it as annoying, while others find it natural. Its a way she gets rid of stress, so most of the time only needs warm, patient people to comfort her when she starts. Her sister, Lopmon, and her sister's Terriermon usually does a good job doing the task of cheering her up and making her stop crying.
Another big thing with Akika is that she has a very weak immune system. She gets sick easily, and constantly has fevers. When it gets bad enough, she goes unconscious. Usually however, she doesn't need much to get better; just a warm place to rest, and she's healthy the next day.
History:
Akika's first birthday was her mother's death date.
Already having a weak body, Akika's mother, Satsuki, was happy when she knew she was going to have another baby. She already had a daughter, Rayne, and loved her to death. She loved her so much that she had difficulty when she had to send her daughter to kindergarten when she turned three, and cried when she started to see that her daughter was learning of things out of her watch. Over protective, she had difficulty letting her daughter do whatever she pleased when it came to playing with her friends or sending her to school or whatnot. Noticing her overreaction, Satsuki decided to try and be more calm with her second child.
On the night of Akika's birth, Satsuki grew a fever as she went into labor. She managed to deliver her second daughter, Akika, under the watch of her husband, Naoto, and Rayne, but died right after, unable to regain her health out of exhaustion.
After facing the death of his beloved wife, Naoto started to lose interest in raising the two children after only 3 months of caring for them. He muttered constantly, questioning to the butsudan of his wife, not knowing why he was raising the children to begin with. Around this time, Rayne started raising Akika the best she could with her abilities, annoyed at how when she didn't do so, Akika cried so loudly.
Neglect soon took place in the Miroku residence. So much that both Rayne and Akika were going hungry constantly, and it was not long until Rayne called child services herself asking for help. The Social Worker picked up the two children and took them to the orphanage. Naoto did not fight for them one bit, but rather said, "If you want to take them, go ahead."
After taken into the orphanage, 7 year old Rayne and 3 month old Akika were placed together, since they were so closely bonded together. They were also adopted out together 4 years later to the Ichihara residence.
The Ichihara family was rich and kind, but Akika had a hard time opening up. She clung to Rayne all the time, and never even attempted to talk to the new parents, like they were monsters. Rayne was in Akika's eyes, the only family member, and no doubt the Ichihara family grew annoyed. They have not shown it yet, but it is clear that they basically ignore the two children, angry at how they, or at least, the little one, doesn't open up to them already.
When they were lonely, that's when the two girls found the digivices. The two traveled to the digital world by accident when they were playing in the computer room, where they found Terriermon and Lopmon, the twin digimon. Akika immediately grew attatched to Lopmon when she found out that Lopmon was her partner, and brought him back along with her to the real world when they found out how to come back. Lopmon and Akika play off saying Lopmon is a stuffed animal (Rayne told them to do so xD) today.

"Loppy~!" Akika called as she opened the door to her room. Inside, on her pink, heart-decorated bed, layed the chocolate colored digimon, staying completely still the best he could. When Akika closed the door behind her and giggled, Lopmon slowly shifted his gaze and when he saw that only Akika was in the room, let out a large breath. Obviously, he had been holding it in for a while, or Akika had just really scared him to suddenly just freeze in his spot. Pushing himself onto his feet, the digimon tilted his head to Akika as his tamer rushed to the bed and jumped up beside him.
"Loppy, chu hungwy?" The child asked. 'Loppy' couldn't help but to feel his mouth water when he heard her, and he nodded. Akika giggled. "Chu can tawk, chu know?"
"I rather not make too much noise." The digimon spoke back, sweatdropping comically. Sometimes he really wished he was his twin brother; he had Rayne as a partner... But on the other hand.... Rayne could be hard to handle from time to time as well. Lopmon had seen it when Rayne was in a bad mood. It did not look fun to be Terriermon at that time...
"Okie Loppy, food time~!" Akika giggled. She took one of her dolls' bibs and tied it around her digimon's neck loosely. Lopmon just went with it, as if he was used to it already, and just simply opened his mouth to be fed. Akika squealed in excitement as she took the plastic spoon from one of her kitchen set toys and took out pudding from her pocket.
Lopmon blinked. "Wasn't that your dessert?" Akika nodded, and Lopmon couldn't help but to furrow his brows and smile. "But you like pudding."
Akika nodded and opened the package. "Mhm, but today's food was fwied wice. Aki can't bwing Loppy that."
Suddennly feeling bad, Lopmon scooted back and shook his head. "Actually... Now that I think of it... I'm not too hungry."
"Chu not?" Akika blinked as she scooped up some pudding onto the toy spoon. Lopmon watched as the pudding juggled on top of the spoon and gulped. He then nodded, but felt the spoon jammed into his mouth.
"Oof!!" He grunted, feeling the pudding slip onto his tongue. The sweet taste made it impossible for him to spit it out, so he simply gulped it down. Akika's laughter rung in his ears as the child simply placed the spoon in the pudding to scoop up more, and this time put it in her mouth.
"Then we make it half-half." She said, swinging her legs from the bed and smiling to her digimon. Lopmon stared at her for a moment in surprise, but soon nodded and crawled up next to her to finish the sweet pudding. Yes, he was content being this four year old's partner...
