Brook laid on the bed staring at the ceiling that was in front of him. The day was going by slowly and he didn’t really know what to do. He had planned hanging out with Joseph today but fate had other plans. Joseph’s family decided to do a surprise road trip and left yesterday even with all of the younger members complaints. Brook was completely bored and couldn’t think of anything to do, well he had an idea but it wasn’t very safe. “I’m telling you we should go.”
He turned his head to face his partner Leo, who was lying beside him. Leo had proposed a plan and was trying to convince Brook to go along with it. “We have nothing else to do.” “I don’t know those ceiling tiles are looking pretty countable.” Leo glared at his partner, Brook sighed and got up. “Fine fine fine, we’ll go to the digital world.” Leo quickly jumped off the bed and grinned, “Great now you should go get us some supplies.” Brook stared at Leo and finally went off to get his bag to fill it up with various items to help them.
After a few minutes they were ready, Brook went to set up the gate and noticed it was different today. “So what? It probably means nothing let’s just go already.” Brook guessed Leo was right, since he was from the digital world he should have knowledge about how it works, but he still wondered why the image was of a castle.
When they arrived at their destination, they both were quite shocked at where they had landed. In front of them was a large imposing castle, they both were confused at their predicament. Brook noticed that the area was similar to the image on the gate, “Perhaps it shows where it will take us.”
“Hey isn’t kind of…broken?” Brook took another look at the castle again, this time with a more detailed look he noticed it was kind of coming apart. The pieces of the walls were breaking and falling off, it looked ok for the moment but he could tell it hasn’t been taken cared of for a while. “I guess it is a little run down, might be unsafe to go in it. There are probably parts that are falling to pieces in there.”
“No…can’t you feel it?” Brook stared at the castle confused, “There is a feeling of evil coming from within the walls or should I say a residual evil force.” Brook continued to look confused, “Whatever this castle housed was really evil and not only that but evil is attracted to evil.” “And where did you come up with this idea?” “It is logic you know a ‘feathers of birds stick together’ kind of thing.” Brook didn’t feel like correcting his partner, “So you think there’s something evil in there?” “Yep.” And with that Leo walked into the castle, Brook was worried but figured it would be safer to stay with Leo than outside.
